Allison graduated from Texas State University in 2017 with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders. She took a two year sabbatical before going back to graduate school, she worked as a behavioral technician and as a speech language pathologist assistant. She returned to her alma mater, and finished her Master's degree in 2021. In graduate school Allison took multiple courses specializing in bilingual speech treatment, including a course where she provided online therapy to children and adults in Ecuador and Guatemala. She has experience working with individuals with expressive/receptive language disorder/delay, articulation/phonological disorder, fluency disorder, feeding disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, and cognitive impairment. Allison has an interest in increasing her knowledge in feeding and swallowing disorders as well as fluency disorders. She enjoys working with pediatric patients, and is excited to broaden her horizons working with adult patients. In her off time Allison enjoys learning about new languages, going to the movie theater, cooking, painting, and spending quality time with the people she loves.
