Kat grew up in Washington, D.C and moved to Austin in 2008. She completed her leveling working at UT Austin and then went on to complete her Master's degree at the University of North Texas. Kat has been working in outpatient pediatrics for over a decade and loves working closely with families to support their goals for their children. She is interested in working with neurodiverse populations and providing playful and creative therapy that is positive, affirming, evidenced based and highly individualized. She is especially interested in feeding therapy, oral motor deficits, using different modalities to support expression like devices or sign language, promoting social language and supporting executive functioning. She also enjoys working with families when their children are going through a season of using aggression to communicate. These seasons pass with patience and consistency, and she finds it really rewarding to watch families move through it and watch their children thrive.
