Holly moved to Austin from Raleigh North Carolina in November 2013. She received her Bachelors of Science in
Communications Disorders and her Masters in Speech Language Pathology from Florida State University. She has received her Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA, and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in Texas. Holly has worked in private practice clinics, pre-schools, and home care. Her expertise and interests include: Developmental Delay, Premature birth, Autism, Down's Syndrome, Cleft Palate, Tracheostomy, Fragile X Syndrome, Hearing Loss, Articulation and Phonological Disorders and Expressive/Receptive Language Delays. Holly received feeding therapy training from Beckman Oral Motor Training and uses a combination of oral motor training as well as sensory training to encourage children to tolerate different consistencies, temperatures, food flavors, and methods of feeding (bottles, straws, open mouth cups, spoons, and finger eating). Holly believes that family members are the most important component for success in speech, language, and feeding therapy and incorporates families in the therapeutic process.
