Julie graduated from Texas Christian University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas in 2005. While in graduate school, Julie completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) traineeship at the Center for Developmental Disabilities in Kansas City, where she focused on autism spectrum disorders and advocacy for individuals with disabilities.

She has extensive experience providing speech and language services to both children and adults across a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, early childhood intervention programs, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and outpatient clinics. Julie enjoys working with clients of all ages and has pursued ongoing continuing education in Beckman Oral Motor Assessment and Intervention, Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Applied Behavior Analysis in speech therapy, and a range of feeding, dysphagia, and motor speech techniques. She is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD) and VitalStim Therapy.
Julie holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is an active member of both ASHA and the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing Association (TSHA).
In her time away from work, Julie enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and watercolor painting. She is passionate about serving the Georgetown community through high-quality, compassionate speech and language care.
