Mikayla grew up in San Diego, California where she earned her Bachelor's of Science in Developmental Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. She later moved to Texas to pursue her Master's in Occupational Therapy from Abilene Christian University. During her clinical rotations, Mikayla gained valuable experience with adults in an inpatient psychiatric unit and outpatient clinic specializing in hand therapy. In addition she has a strong passion for working in pediatrics, having worked with children in outpatient and school systems during her training. 

Mikayla is dedicated to helping her patients develop the skills and confidence needed to achieve their unique and meaningful goals. Outside of work, she enjoys exercising, reading, spending time outdoors, and game nights with friends.
