Poison Prevention Week

Today marks the begging of Poison Prevention Week. In honor of Poison Prevention Week, we’d like to take a moment to share this article about lead poisoning. The article “Occupational Therapy in Pediatric Lead Exposure Prevention” by Margaretha Hotz, Kathy Kniepmann, and Luci Kohn discusses the affects that lead poising has on sensorimotor, cognitive, and neurobehavioral development. At both low and high levels of exposure, lead can impact memory and learning capabilities.
